Wife of the Acting President of Nigeria, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, has said that basic infrastructural necessities were very vital to drive economic potentials of any nation, saying without it, no meaningful development can be achieved.
Mrs. Osinbajo said this in Owerri, the Imo State capital during the unveiling of a new NGO called “Elfreeda Foundation” that will focus on providing shelter for homeless women and giving children “Basic Need Initiative”, founded by the Imo State governor’s daughter, Mrs. Uloma Rochas-Nwosu.
Notable personalities who witnessed the launch include Governor Rochas Okorocha and his wife, Nneoma; Dr. Churchill Olakunle, Big Church Group boss as special guest of honour among others.
In her speech, Mrs. Osinbajo said: “For any country to achieve meaningful development, its citizens must have required necessities to drive the economic potentials. If I was homeless, I wouldn’t have achieved so much in life.”
Also speaking, Dr. Churchill while commending Uloma Rochas-Nwosu for embarking on such an initiative said; “It worries me a lot about the level of homelessness we currently have in the country, I must commend Uloma for this laudable effort and for being an outstanding pillar of support to the needy.”
In her response, the founder Mrs. Uloma Nwosu while speaking to media said the foundation would focus on four major areas – providing shelter for the homeless, food bank provision, thrift store and counseling
